Gold trades near lowest since December as dollar holds gain and traders weigh trade tensions between U.S. and China. Platinum falls to a 2-year low.

Bullion for immediate delivery weakened 0.1% at $1,272.93/oz in London. Price touched $1,270.52 on Tuesday, lowest since Dec. 22. Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index is near highest since July.
