The yen advanced against all its major peers and Treasuries rallied as the arrest of the chief financial officer of Huawei Technologies Co. spurred concern the U.S.-China dispute is worsening.

Treasury 10-year yields dropped to the lowest since September as stocks around Asia slid for a third day, boosting demand for haven assets. Australian dollar fell after poor trade data led traders to price out the chance of a rate hike next year. The U.S. dollar was little changed.

USD/JPY declined 0.4% to 112.70 after slipping to 112.58.

Huawei™s CFO Wanzhou Meng was arrested in Canada over potential violations of U.S. sanctions on Iran, provoking outrage from China and complicating trade negotiations between the two countries.

AUD/USD slid 0.5% to 0.7232 after Australia's trade balance narrowed to A$2.32b in October, worse than economists' median estimate of A$3b.
