Beberapa pejabat Federal Reserve menginginkan bank sentral untuk mempertahankan kebijakan pada Desember di tengah kenaikan volatilitas pasar keuangan, menurut risalah pertemuan kebijakan Desember mereka yang dirilis Rabu ini.

FOMC memilih dengan suara bulat untuk menaikkan suku bunga seperempat poin menjadi 2,25% -2,5%, tetapi risalah menunjukkan beberapa perbedaan pendapat yang mendukung jeda.

Ke depan, "banyak" pejabat mengatakan FOMC bisa "bersabar" tentang kebijakan lebih lanjut, kata berita acara. Secara umum, pejabat menilai bahwa "pengetatan tambahan dalam jumlah yang relatif terbatas mungkin akan sesuai."

Meskipun gejolak pasar, pejabat Fed tetap optimis tentang prospek ekonomi, membuat sedikit perubahan meskipun volatilitas pasar. Kontak di sejumlah distrik Fed "kurang optimis." (knc)
