Gold Futures End With a Loss on Stronger Dollar

Gold futures ended with a loss on Monday, with strength in the dollar putting pressure on the dollar-denominated precious metal. The International Monetary Fund / IMF said about the US-China will hamper global economic growth this year and next.

The IMF issues the new money at meetings in Bali, Indonesia, while US President Donald Trump will impose higher tariffs on Chinese exports sent to America.

Maurice Obstfeld, IMF Economic Research Adviser said, "from the current momentum, we have lowered the US growth rate in 2019 due to the recent tariffs and various imports from China as well as China's retaliation. Estimated Chinese economic growth in 2019 or lowered. Policy China's domestic will allow greater growth than we project. "
