Separately , Secretary of State John Kerry expressed concern to the Russian counterpart about the ongoing violence , and about reports that foreign fighters crossed into Ukraine from Russian territory .
 
Although the Kremlin has been weeks of protest, the Russian news agency , Ria Novosti , said 33 of about 50 rebel fighters were killed Sunday in Donetsk - in the battle against the forces of Ukraine - comes from Russia .
